Ok, so if you read this blog you know I only venture above 30th street for a few reasons! My hair and the 4 B’s (Bergdorf, Barneys, Bloomies, & Bendels)!! However, recently I discovered Krunch Pizza on 2nd avenue, between 51st and 52nd.
While NY has amazing food….it wasn’t until I found Krunch that I discovered a pizza place I liked (except for Adrians pizza bar in the financial district). The sad news is that Krunch doesnt deliver to my hood (even when I tried to bribe the delivery person with a generous tip) and I have to go 30 + blocks for pizza!!
However, its completely worth it. This pizza comes in small pieces like I like it and the sauce and everything is perfection. I could eat a whole pizza by myself. Also, if you have a sweet tooth…they have really yummy dessert pizzas. Another perk, Krunch is open late nite. Perfect for some drunken munchies!

Up until recently….there wasnt much of a reason to go to 29th and Broadway, unless you wanted to buy some perfume at wholesale that is. Well now that has all changed with the opening of The Breslin Restaurant in the Ace Hotel.
From the owners of the Spotted Pig (one of RE-girl’s favorite hangouts and burgers) comes a new pub-style restaurant. With dark wood paneling, statues of random animals, like pigs, red chairs, and green accented walls, the space feels vintage. The vibe here is good…its like the perfect place for a Tuesday nite out with friends.
If your hungry, the food is delicious. Mostly comfort food…my favorite was the oven baked ham & cheese sandwish and for dessert the donughts filled with chocolate…yummy!! Also, I hear the brunch is amazing….they have pumpkin pancakes.

In the summer…its all about the hamptons. East Hampton, South Hampton, Amagansett, Sag Harbour…everyone seems to have a share!! In fact, summer shares have become like college for the late 20’s to the mid 30 something crowd. Now there is a new trend happening!!
With the temperatures getting colder and colder, summer tans fading, and the thought of flip flops and margaritas a distant thought…winter-shares in Miami Beach are becoming all the rage. Why deprive yourself of sun and fruity drinks, just because its winter in New York?!
December, January, February, and March are the hottest months to be in Miami. Think 80 degrees, jet skiing on Star Island, dinners at Prime Italian, and daytime poolside, rather than nestled in your tiny New York apartment with 10 layers on.
For 15-30k a month, you can pack your bags and spend the winter at home like this incredible one on Hibiscus Island (see pic below). This 5 bedroom contemporary is chic and sexy and has all the latest upgrades. Located right on the water with breath-taking views of Miami Beach, a pool that rivals the Delano…here you can have your own Delano.

Now that all the rain has finally stopped, its time to go out and enjoy summertime in the city. Hello dirty martinis and rooftop bars!!!
There are so many good ones. Some that I really dig are 60 Thompson, Gansevoort, and The Empire Hotel , but my favorites for happy hour and meeting cute boys (I’m secretly convinced Murray Hill is full of them fyi) is Rare in the Shelburne Hotel.
While some people don’t think Murray Hill is the coolest, I beg to differ. I mean Shoe Box, National Jeans Company, and Pookie and Sebastian all within a 3 block radius..what could be better?! And of course Rare too, which is definitely worth the trek. Personally, if you want to see some crazy skyline views….Rare has it!!! It feels like your on top of the world!
The after work crowd is good. Its young, but not too young and lots of cute suits walking around. They kind of play cheesy music…but I still always have a good time.
